So, of course, the beta test did not go according to plan. Therefore, instead of an official termination, I am sending an interim report.
The start of the test was postponed until the last week of February, in real terms from March. Testing started quite well, but then Coronavir got into it. We operatively transferred the game together with Tomáš Blatný to Tabletop Simulator and continued there. In fact, it was probably the best thing that could happen to us. A total of 22 games (both offline and online) took place in two months, which is quite decent for an average game length of 4.5 hours. We even have our own rule modification from tester Radim Drak. I must also mention two testers who have over 10 games played, namely Vojta Kouřil and Martin Pejchar. The game is gradually settling (although I have felt for half a year that it is almost done). So far, the changes seem to be for the better.
And so we continue testing until May. If all goes well, we could have a limited pre-sale on Essen. And after that, I plan the Kickstarter campaign (December 2020 – March 2021).
Finally, thanks must be given to all those actively involved. Although it may not look like it, the deployment also has its influence 🙂
